ABOUT MYXI
The Basics
Myxi is a pony based adoptable with many mixable mutations including wings, legs, tails and more! Although mini stories will often be used in the threads, Myxi is not really a "world" based adoptable. Instead, Myxi can exist in any realm or reality! As you might have guessed from the name, we like to mix things up here!
There are two types of Myxi... normal and Born-Myxi. You can find info on each type below You may collect either type or both, whatever you're interested in!

Definitions
Myxi - The name of this adoptable. Pronounced the same as "mixie" or "mix-ee," This is the plural and the singular. "I have a Myxi" and "I have many Myxi" are both correct.
Pyxi - Myxi + Pets = Pyxi! These are various little cute companions that can be added to your Myxi or collected separately. What ever you prefer!

Mimyx
There are three types of Myxi. A normal Myxi is just a normal adoptable, good for all the fun that adoptables are! A Mimyx is a mimic of an existing Ponyisland pony. It has a little tag in the certing area denoting that it is a Mimyx and comes with all the genes and mutations to best repersent your pony in Myxi form. Otherwise, it has all the same abilities as a standard Myxi.
Born-Myxi
You're now familiar with the standard and Mimyx types of Myxi. The third is the Born-Myxi. A Born-Myxi is a mimic of a special pony bred by me. The pony and the adoptable have some special traits, read on for more info...
The Ponies
- They are limited lined. Usually 8 or less.
- They are DVSOs, TVSOOs, and a few QV projects.
- They are always mixed breeds.
- They come with a mimic Myxi. Sometimes these could be premades, other times they are done as Born-Myxi customs.
- You do not have to keep the pony to keep the Myxi mimic that comes with it. However, each pony only spawns one adoptable mimic. Selling or trading the pony to a new person does not spawn a Born-Myxi for the new owner. If you wish to trade the actual adoptable, this will need to be done during our recurring Trading Seasons.
- Born-Myxi will be given away and possibly sold during events. There is also a separate mailing list
for Born-Myxi. It works similar to a standard pony breeding mailing list, except you get a Myxi with your pony if you purchase one. You may post in any of our active threads or PM Serendevi to be added to this list.
The Myxi
- A Born-Myxi automatically comes will all the genes and mutations to best represent your pony in Myxi form.
- You may also choose to "Show Lineage." This option means that a Born-Myxi may inherit mutations from it's lineage. So a Purr with a Phoenix in his lineage may inherit wings, or a Reindeer with a Dragon in her lineage might get a dragon tail. These traits are chosen using a combination of a randomizer and artist choice, they cannot be decided by the owner. Please note that choosing this option only gives the Chance that something will be added or changed on your Myxi. For example, a Unicorn and a Winged Unicorn share all the same traits except for the wings. So, that only gives one extra item to possibly pass to a Unicorn based Born-Myxi. Also, Myxi genetics are...wait for it... a bit of a myx up! Traits can sometimes mesh or take on a slightly different form. The Unicorn/Winged Unicorn example could produce a Unicorn with Tail Wings or Hermes Wings instead of full sized wings.
- If your Born-Myxi is not a premade, it will be created as a custom. In addition to choosing the age and whether or not to Show Lineage, you get 5 choices of things to add to the Myxi.
- A Born-Myxi mimic can be used in any way that a normal Myxi adoptable can.
- Born-Myxi also receive an additional benefit
(and there could be other benefits in the future!)
Benefit: A Born-Myxi gets one free Chocolate Shake per breeding season. (standard breeding item needed for all Myxi breedings) So, essentially, one free basic breeding. You'll still need to purchase other items if you want alter the outcome of the offspring though.
