Special Myxi
This section documents special individuals or groups within the Myxi family who have some sort of special ability or honor attached.
Myxi who fit in this section generally have a special cert marking. This is located at the edge of the cert on older Myxi and in a smaller orb next to
the Colorist's mark on newer Myxi. Although all descriptions talk about Myxi, it is possible for Pyxi to have some of these special abilities as well.
Costume Myxi

Myxi shown is an example of this type.
Myxi with this symbol are of a special set. They have a recreation of one of Pony Island's elaborate Halloween Costumes.
There are 5 originals created for a specific costume (Breed, Gender and Year) and they are always Born-Myxi.
Costume Myxi have a special Breeding ability. When bred with another Costume Myxi, the full costume will pass. If both parents wear the same costume, that costume passes. If parents have different costumes, it will be an equal shot at getting one or the other costume.
Costumes are "finished" pieces meaning that the color and placement is always the same. Color of the Myxi's body, mutations and markings will be created in the usual way.
If a costume is passed, the offspring will automatically be an adult (as costumes were designed for adults). If certain mutations are required for a costume to work, they will automatically pass.
When bred with non-Costume Myxi, they breed as any other individual. Pieces of the costume may pass but it will not pass in it's entirety.
Offspring of Costume Myxi will get the Costume mark Only if the full costume passed. If you have a Myxi with a Costume mark and "Born-Myxi" on their cert, they are an original!
Line Edit Myxi

"LE" is a shortened form we often use to talk about a
Myxi that has Line Edits, or about the edits themselves.
Myxi with Line Edits are those Myxi who have a special item or mutation that was created solely for them. Other adoptables use this term as well and each defines it a little differently. Please read on for Myxi's specifics on Line Edits.
Line edits may be created from scratch with new drawing, coloring and shading. In some cases, they may be created by editing current items or mutations in a way that is more excessive than general item manipulation. This usually means drawing new lines, at least, but in rare cases might mean heavy erasing or item manipulation without the creation of new lines.
Line edits may pass in breeding but it is not guaranteed. Generally, the same custom item or mutation will not pass directly from parent to offspring. Edits on offspring are inspired by parents but usually not exact. An exception is sometimes made if the parent's edit is very simple.These may pass exactly but we generally still try to position them differently if possible.
Serendevi is the only colorist for Myxi,
at this time, who creates line edits.

Double Diamond
Double Diamond Myxi each have their own special
honor and ability. They are also quite rare! While it is possible that two Double Diamonds may have the same ability... they do not ALL have the same ability. All will be documented on this page individually.
Myxi number 5000! What a milestone for an adoptable! We wanted to commemorate it in a special way...
This girl sports the full set of our Carousel exclusives (Legs, Pole and Background.)
During Breeding Season she will Always pass one of the exclusives to each of her offspring!
All three exclusives (Legs, Pole and Background) will have an equal chance at passing. After random chooses the "guaranteed" exclusive, the colorist will still roll our usual chance at passing each of the other two exclusives. If there are multiple offspring in the breeding, each one gets a guaranteed exclusive!
This applies only to Breeding Season.
Off-season breedings will not guarantee the passing of an exclusive.
